Turn your menu or price list into a shop

Updated October 2026

Short answer

Take a clear photo of your menu or price list, or upload a PDF, Word file or typed list. Zova reads it and fills in your items, prices and sizes. You check them and save.

What you can upload

  • A photo of your menu, flyer or price list. You can add several pages at once.
  • A PDF or Word document.
  • A text or CSV list.
  • Or just type what you sell in your own words, like "jollof rice 3500, fried rice 3000, chicken 2000".

How to do it

  1. 1

    Open the Shop tab

At the bottom of your dashboard, tap Shop.

  2. 2

Tap Import from your menu or price list

During first setup, this is the Upload your menu or price list box.

  3. 3

    Choose your files

Tap Choose files and pick your photos or documents. To add another page, tap Add more. Prefer typing? Tap Type your list.

  4. 4

    Wait while Zova reads it

You'll see Reading your list…. Keep the page open. It usually takes under a minute.

  5. 5

    Check the drafts

Each item shows up as a draft with its name, price and section. Sizes like small and large become options on one item, not separate items. Fix anything that's wrong.

  6. 6

    Save

Nothing goes on your page until you save. Then add photos to your items so they look good.

Tips for a good photo

  • Lay the menu flat in good light. Daylight is best.
  • Fill the screen with the menu. Don't cut off the edges.
  • No shadows or glare on the prices.
  • If the writing is tiny, take one photo per page.

How many times can I import?

On the free plan: 3 imports a day, with up to 4 photos or pages each. On Pro: 20 a day, with up to 8 each. If you have branches, they share the allowance.

Your uploaded file isn't kept after Zova reads it. Zova also doesn't make photos for your items, so add your own.
